Window & Glass

Glazing, shower screens, mirrors and glass partitions — measured to the finished opening and installed mid-to-late.

Window & Glass covers the glazed elements: shower screens, mirrors, glass partitions and balustrades, and any window glazing within scope. Glass is templated to the finished opening, so it installs once the surrounding work is true and square.

What it covers

  • Shower screens and glass doors.
  • Mirrors and mirror cabinets.
  • Glass partitions, balustrades and feature glazing.

Where it sits in the sequence

Mid-to-late. After tiling and carpentry have set the finished openings it measures to, and generally after painting so frames and walls are finished.

What a PM watches for

  • Measure to the finished surface. Glass cut to a rough opening won't fit the finished one. Don't let it be ordered until the substrate is final.
  • Fixings and silicone. Heavy glass needs proper fixings into reinforced substrate — coordinate with partition backing.
  • Edgework and safety. Confirm toughened/laminated glass where required and check edges and corners on delivery; chips become breakages.
